Biography Albert Niland
Mix Irish Melancholy and Brilliant Guitar-playing with a powerful
pleasant voice end you end up with the warm sound of
Albert Niland.
In 1999 Albert Niland was asked to be the solo-guitarist for the
World-Tour of “Riverdance”,
In 2003 after touring the globe 3 times with this show he decided
to focus on his old passion: Singing!
He also decided to lock himself in Spain to master playing the
Flamenco guitar-technique.So now next to his unmistakable Irish sound
he adds some superb Spanish guitar picking.
After that things went really fast. He is frequently on Irish national TV and played with Irish legends such as Planxty and Christy Moore and supported Christy on several occasions including a huge concert in Brussels.
In February 2008 he released a live in the Amsterdam “Paradiso” recoded CD and in 2009 his critically acclaimed CD “The Hungry Ghost” saw the light Albert Niland recorded several Albums, a few, including his last live double
album “Albert Niland” recorded by legendary engineer-producer Brian Masterson who also worked with a.o. U2, Marc Knopfler, Kate Bush and Emmylou Harris.
